Welcome to the 2011 Spring Kick Off Event

Dear Horse Lover,

Need a place to bring out your new horses, riders and combinations along with getting existing combinations ready for the show year? After looking and not being able to find what we wanted, we decided it was time to create a show to fit that need. This is our 5th year to make this show available to you so please spread the word -- in order for it to be a success and continue, it is imperative that we have the support of as many exhibitors possible. If you can’t attend this year, we ask that you support us by sponsoring a class. Anything you can do will help us provide a show we can all enjoy for years to come.

Like last year we are including several equitation qualifiers and a pattern class, all to provide you with what is needed for your riders. We have added some new innovative Academy Classes this year to address the needs of our membership and to help build this entry level division.

The Spring Kickoff Event was designed to help all of us by providing a show to start off the season. This will be a low key show with lots of opportunities to get your riders/horses in the ring. We have a very special judge this year, Ellen Beard of World Cup and Stephens College Equestrian Center, Meghann Belser of Meghann Leigh Photography as photographer, Tuffy Owens as announcer and Jeremiah Sprague as farrier. There will be a pizza party Saturday afternoon, nice hotels at good rates that are pet friendly, exceptional trophies and long ribbons.

The championship trophies are really special this year thanks to the sponsorship of Karen Anthony and Mike Setzer at The National Horseman. We also thank Meghann to offer digital transfers to the magazine to make this award a real package. Each championship winner will get a quarter page B&W ad for the horse and rider in the magazine’s issue that covers this event. We thank Karen for supporting our early spring warm up show and Saddlebred Rescue.

We are asking that you help us put on a show you will enjoy by sponsoring a class or classes. This will help make this show pay for itself and enable us to continue it in the future. The cost for sponsorships is as follows:

Class Sponsor $50
Bronze support $100
Silver Banner support $200
Gold Banner support $300
Platinum Banner support $500

The divisions we have include: Saddlebred, Hackney, Open, Equitation and Academy.

Thank you in advance,

Mark McCracken
and the Show Committee
